Our Wireless RF (Radio Frequency) people counting solution comes with two sensors, a transmitter and receiver, which are positioned across an entrance up to 8 metres wide. Counts are captured as people walk between the sensors and break the infrared beam. Advanced algorithms detect the direction the person is walking and will keep separate counts of people entering and exiting the location.
The sensors have protection against electrical transmission noise and do not respond to rapid hand waves or short-term beam breaks ensuring only extremely accurate count data is recorded.
The count data from the people counters is automatically transmitted wirelessly (via radio frequency) to the SNG Hub (Sensor Network Gateway). For optimum performance, the hub (Ethernet or 4G) must be located within a 20 to 30 metre range of the sensors. A single hub is able to collect count data from up to 10 sensors within a 20 metre radius (repeaters available). The hub automatically sends the count data at regular intervals to the IMMOTION software hosted on-site or in the cloud.
The IMMOTION software allows users to analyse count data by hour, day, week, month, and year in table or graph form. This valuable information reveals peak traffic periods to determine optimal operating hours and staffing requirements, and helps calculate peak visitor times.
The IMMOTION software application is optimised to handle multiple locations for easy viewing and overall analysis. The software is scalable so that additional SNG Hubs and/or sensors can be added at any time.
The People Inside Web App calculates the current ‘live-inside’ occupancy and displays the total number of people in the building. The ‘live-inside’ count total (with a prominent large occupancy number) can be displayed on a range of outputs including large monitors and tablets.
General Features
Package Features
People Counting Sensors
Battery Powered Wireless Sensors
The battery powered people counters provide a completely wireless installation experience. The integrated mounting plates allow for easy self installation using screws, double sided mounting tape or optional metal brackets. The sensors use AA batteries that last up to 2 years with standard usage and can project through glass. The mains powered sensors instantly transmit the count data wirelessly to a nearby hub via radio frequency. The counters can be fitted on standard entrances up to 8 metres wide. They can also be installed on security gates without causing interference and are available with optional outdoor casing.
Mains Powered Wireless Sensors
The mains powered sensors provide a slimline, side mounted installation, ideally suited to door frames where the wiring can be concealed. The secure mounting and robust casing ensures continuous and reliable operation without the need for replacing batteries. The mains powered sensors instantly transmit the count data wirelessly to a nearby hub via radio frequency. They can be fitted on entrances up to 8 meters wide.
SNG Hub (Sensor Network Gateway)
SNG Hub (Sensor Network Gateway)
The SNG Hub wirelessly communicates with the people counting sensors to receive the latest, up to date, count data from one or more entrances within a 30 metre radius. Once received, the count data is automatically sent at regular intervals to the IMMOTION™ software where the count data can be viewed/exported by hour/day/week/month year totals.
The SNG Hub is available in two editions:
Ethernet (SNG10E) Edition
The Ethernet edition (SNG10E) is designed to connect directly into your local network via an Ethernet LAN port or can be connected to your buildings Wi-Fi via an optional Wi-Fi Access Point/Bridge. The SNG10E is ideal for situations where there are Ethernet ports available within a 20 metre range of the people counting sensors. The hub is able to collect count data from up to 10 sensors within a 20 metre radius.
4G (SNG4G) Edition
The 4G Edition (SNG4G) utilises a cellular 4G connection to communicate to the IMMOTION software. The SNG4G is ideal for situations where there are no Ethernet ports available near the sensors. The hub is able to collect count data from up to 10 sensors within a 20 metre radius. The SNG4G requires a full size SIM (not included) and is compatible with all the mobile data providers in Australia and New Zealand.
IMMOTION™ Software
IMMOTION™ Software
Our IMMOTION™ software allows users to analyse count data by hour, day, week, month, and year in table or graph form. This valuable information reveals peak traffic periods to determine optimal operating hours and staffing requirements, and helps calculate customer/sales conversion ratios.
The IMMOTION™ software/database is optimised to handle multiple locations and/or people counters for easy viewing and overall analysis. The IMMOTION™ software/database is scalable so that additional SNG Hub's (SNG) and/or door counters can be added at any time.
Occupancy Display
Occupancy - Live Inside
Our wireless people counting solutions records the number of people entering and exiting a building or location in real time. From this information we can calculate and display the total number of people in a venue at any one time. This feature is ideal for venues that are required to monitor capacity numbers in real time to comply with liquor licensing laws, venue capacity limits, etc.
The live count is displayed on a custom styled web page that is compatible with any web-enabled PC, TV, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
The live count total continuously updates depending on the number of people entering or leaving the location. In addition, a separate 'IN' and 'OUT' count total is collected and can be viewed in an hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly breakdown.
As our people counters only count and do not identify people, the privacy of people passing through our counters is assured.
Please visit our Occupancy People Counters page for more information.
Optional Extras:
Mounting Brackets
Mounting brackets for Wireless People Counters
Wireless people counters include a mounting plate as part of the product design for easy installation on flat surfaces. The following are a list of optional mounting brackets that can be purchased for Wireless People Counters
Metal Rotational Bracket (x2)
The versatility of the pivoting door sensor holder makes fitting simple in entrances where the mounting location may not be at right angles. These brackets are also provided in a black finish and supplied as a set of two.

Wireless Range Extender
Range Extender for Wireless People Counters
The Range Extender increases the Wireless Range between a Wireless People Counter and the SNG Hub.
With the Wireless People Counter solution the SNG Hub device captures the counting data from one or multiple counters and uploads it to a local or remote server every minute. This requires the SNG Hub to be located anywhere within a range of up to 30 metres (unobstructed) from the Wireless People Counter. Implementing the Range Extender effectively increases the range between the SNG Hub device and a single Wireless People Counter by up to a further 30 metre range.
The Range Extender has been designed for ease of installation: when a SNG device is found the LEDs display the signal strength of the detected device. We recommend the Range Extender is installed in a high position to improve the wireless signal via line of sight.
